Dale V. Miller's Bio:

Class of 1977 - Played baritone horn in the concert band, trombone in the orchestra ('75-'77), pianist & trombonist in the jazz band ('75 -'77)

Studied and played the piano since the age of 8 with numerous classical teachers into his early 20's.

Developed an interest in jazz during high school and has performed many styles of music in various professional venues since high school, and has worked as a pianist in solo, duo, trio, ensemble, and big bands, in sessions, recordings and performances.

Plays improvisational music from traditional to modern Jazz, Blues, R&B, but has primarily focused on developing his own style, technique, theory & compositions. Writes, arranges, and produces in all genres and is a music theorist and archivist - Collaborated with numerous musicians in studio and live performance venues throughout the years.

Has built and has been constantly refining a state-of-the-art Macintosh production/recording studio since the late 1980's - works with MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) and Digital Audio recording & editing software - plays various keyboard instruments including: organ, clavinet & the lineage of synthesizer(s). Works mainly with Kurzweil digital keyboards & Samplers, drum/percussion sequencing and programming.

Is currently working towards publishing his original compositions and will be recording new and previously written material in a solo, trio and ensemble setting.

Works as a self-employed, skilled craftsman as a contractor with 30+ years experience - plays a few gigs a year, usually in a trio setting. Lives in Sleepy Hollow, NY
