So let me get this straight. The girl is not Loretta. By the fact that
Martha Thompson's only brother Craig is a Priest would make it
impossible for him to be your ex-husband...unless The Church is way more
liberal than I thought.

Jim, we're talking about two different pictures. The one with you and Corey and Martha - and yes, Martha's brother last I heard was a priest and we certainly were not married! The picture with my ex-husband, Henry DeDona (Loretta's cousin's) sister is the picture with Glen Martin, Sue Meyers and Jane Young, a blond fellow named Bart that I used to work with, and on the far right Doreen DeDona, my ex-husbands sister.

I'm surprised you didn't recognize Martha. I still remember a very funny story involving you and Martha, but I won't share it with 100+ classmates!
Hope all is well with you, Jim.

Hi Ann. You are the first girl to break my heart! I was 13 or 14 if I remember. You, Jane Earle, Wayne Anthony, myself and few others were at that party. I remember going home, telling my dad that I kissed you, said I was in love. He looked up, said "that's great David, go get ready for dinner". BTW...Jane and Wayne became a couple for a few months after that party. Seems to spin the bottle has a constructive side to it. It is great to see you write on this list, as it is everone...so MANY memories!

Subject: Re: Re: New Pictures from Ann Kapfer Fahey!

Dave,

When talking about Ann's pictures, were you aware you stated the plot of my play?

"I always think about going back in time, correcting errors, fixing things."

The play is called "Fountain of Youth" and its synopsis is "A father who wishes he could rewrite the past and win back his estranged adult son gets his wish. His son has a traumatic accident and loses his memory, enabling the con-artist father to embark on a campaign to paint the past as he WISHED it had been and himself as the world's greatest father. The reunion is a success, until his son slowly remembers what a shithead his father REALLY was."

It is being reviewed right now by the current producers of Broadway's new "Barefoot in the Park," starring Amanda Peet, Tony Roberts & Jill Clayburgh. As these things go, this may be as far as the script gets, so if anyone is so inclined, I would be happy to email copies of the script to the curious and/or supportive.

(This is the script that has been honed by four readings in Manhattan already, and in which Dave Heston performed.)

Hopefully, I'll have some good news some time soon, but if you hear nothing more on this subject, you'll know these producers passed. (Of the five scripts I HAVE sold, you wouldn't believe how many rejections I've endured...)

Alan, that sounds like a wonderful theme for a play-would you mind e-mailing me the script, I'd love to read it!

Dave, so nice to hear from you after so many years! Isn't it funny how different our parents reactions to an innocent kiss were, for a girl and a boy back then? As kids I think a lot of us were put into roles we were SO expected to play out-but we found ways to have fun anyway, didn't we?!

Dear Graduates of the Hastings-on-Hudson Class of 1975,

I was born in April of 1977 and adopted shortly thereafter by a well known Hollywood couple. A few years back I went on a quest for my birth parents. I found my mother who was a member at the time of The Manson Family when she met my father.

Apparently my father went across the United states in the summer of 1976. He was in California when he met my birth mother. All she knew about him was he lived in Hastings-on-Hudson and graduated High School in 1975. She also said he lived on a street that was named after a College. The only physical trait she can recall was he had six toes on both feet.

If possible could you contact me through this site. Do to the fact that my adoptive parents are well known, I would like to communicate via this manner only.

Sincerely,

Ammonia X

I've read it Fountain Of Youth. Alan was kind enough to give me a copy of it when I was in Hastings back in 2001. It's terrific. It would have fit well in the pre-musical domination of Broadway. Alan, I really hope this one gets to go.

Also have all my info for the grant application, so I can fill it out once the foundation at school starts accepting applications over the summer. This year, I want to be in EARLY so Alan can get out here to talk to my classes about his career in screen- and scriptwriting, and to help them film some of the scenes from InALIENable Rights. I've already told this year's classes a little about the script--in fact, just this past two weeks, when we were doing a mini-unit on American Science Fiction. Alan, these 11th graders certainly liked the idea. One of them said, in fact, it sounded much more interesting than ET.

Anyway, it's a good read, Fountain Of Youth. Very poignant, especially if you had a shitty father like some of us did.

I have always been an environmentalist and been into alternative fuels
for a very long time. It shouldn't surprise a soul that the reason the
United States and the rest of the world is in such a mess is because of oil.

I joined a yahoo alternate fuel club. Through it I got in touch with a
woman who drives an VW that runs of vegetable oil. She drives to my
factory from CT and I give her used soy bean oil. Yup, she drives
around for free while we are all paying over $2.60 a gallon.

Anyhow, you can get in touch with her via www.greasecar.com. She will
go to schools to display her car. Its exceedingly refreshing to see
that there are indeed individuals who walk the walk when it comes to
alternative fuels.

By the way, I also dump some of the soy oil into my boilers #2 fuel oil
tank. It sure makes me feel good that in a small way I'm doing my part.

Paul has come a long way since I put old age makeup on him for the "Miracle Worker" back in the 70s. For one thing, he is now that old without the makeup.

Good job, Jeff.

Alan

Hello all HHS alumni,

The Hastings Youth Council is sponsoring the first
annual cookout/picnic for all Hastings High School
alumni. The event will be Saturday evening June 3,
2006, from 5:00 - 8:30pm, at MacEachron Waterfront
Park (next to the Harvest on Hudson restaurant).
Hotdogs, hamburgers, refreshments, and dessert will be
available. Rain date is Sunday, June 4 at 5PM.

The event is free - including the food and drinks -
however we are actively seeking donations, not just to
cover the cost of this event but to go toward the
ongoing efforts and programs of the Hastings Youth
Council.

You are welcome to bring any of your own food and
drink if you prefer, however alcohol is not permitted.

Please spread the word to any and all HHS alums that
you know! And although the party is an HHS alumni
event, the entire community is welcome. So, in
addition to a picnic blanket, feel free to bring any
friends and family.

Hope to see you there.

Additional information about the event will be posted
on the HHS alumni website -
http://www.hastingshighschool.com - by May 19th so be
sure to check-in there.

Thanks.

I'm just e-mailing to say that anyone who hasn't read Alan's play "Fountain of Youth" should ask Alan to e-mail a copy to them - I thought it was really good, and on a subject that so many people can relate to. I don't have to tell anyone how talented Alan is - but seriously, don't miss out on this, it's a great script and I can't wait until it's discovered by a director and produced.
Happy Mothers day, too, to all the moms, aunts, godmothers, mentors, and grandma's too if we have any amongst us yet!
Best Always,
Anne (Kapfer) Fahey

It has come to my attention that the invitation to the free Advanced Screening of "Over the Hedge" on our website is not printing properly. What comes out WILL NOT GRANT YOU ENTRANCE.

If you want to go, please revisit our site, print the CURRENT invitation, and make sure to read and follow the rules carefully.

Early word of mouth is good on this film, so if you are in the area and can schedule it, please go and enjoy.

Dear Alan

After deciding not to take the train to the city and the shuttle in fears
that ill be lost in Manhattan forever, myself and Samantha, Alyssa and their
boyfriends drove into the city.
needles to say driving was worse !!!!!!!!!! I ended up somewhere in central
park!!!!!! so after a few choice words about the taxis, and being cut off by
busses, we made our way up to the theater and made the movie on time.
the movie was , as usual, another dreamworks hit . After the movie all we
did was recite different parts of the movie, then we ended up in Scarsdale at
California Pizza for dinner. I was father of the year last night !!!!!!!!!
Four kids treated to a dinner and a movie, and you made it all happen ! thanx

Subject: "Over the Hedge" screening, a MAJOR mystery guest and "Classroom Encounters"

You are welcome, Ray. I hope to have more free advanced screenings like
"Over the Hedge" for everyone soon.

So it looks like June 9th may be a major date for visitors from our class to
Hastings, so a mini-reunion might be in the works. A SECOND classmate
mentioned meeting me for a drink sometime that week and I have asked this
person if this should be turned into an event. I'll give you all a hint...
this person has never been to any of our reunions or mini-reunions EVER.
(And the other person, if you recall, is David Walters.)

And now while I have your attention, I would like to mention something very important to me...

As some of you know, I have been working for almost 2 years now as a
producer and director on a video series with Rita Chang entitled "Classroom
Encounters with Global Change Scientists." It is a series of interactive
DVDs about how the planet works featuring world-renowned scientists, earth
science students, latest field discoveries, and original student-inspired
art and music. I am very excited about sharing these encounters with as wide
an audience as possible. To that end, we sorely need referrals, volunteers and
donations to keep going. If you are concerned about the issues of climate
change, we could use your help behind the scenes.

To see sample clips and reviews of the series, please visit our website at
www.classroomencounters.org <http://www.classroomencounters.org> .

The big news today is that our grassroots film project dominated the front
page of a major movie website called Counting Down. It is a site dedicated
to promoting films and where they literally "count down" the number of days
until major film releases, like "The Da Vinci Code." We have the page
archived while we were all three of the top notices on their site. Please
visit www.classroomencounters.org/countingdown.htm
<http://www.classroomencounters.org/countingdown.htm> so you can see. Then
if you click on our names, you will be taken to their site and the articles
they wrote about us.

Another top story you will see at either site is that on 6/24/06 we will be
premiering excerpts of our first two films at a Boston area Imax Theater.

It is all very exciting and if anyone would consider joining our little
whirlwind, we could sure use any kind of help. Please contact me by
responding to this group email, or privately at afine@art-cetera.com
or through my cell phone 914.588.7062.

And finally, if you made it here, I just want to thank you for reading this
email.

Subject: Announcement at noon on Friday:

The HHS Alumni Cookout for Sat June 3 is on. Make sure that you're there!

62 years ago this very week, General Dwight David Eisenhower was confronted with a very similar situation to what we face here. Does he make another postponement of the D Day invasion because of rain or does he risk it and go for it? Ike said, "Let's Go." And that turned out pretty well. So we're going to do the same thing, and expect the same great results.

The HHS Alumni Cookout is going ahead as scheduled for tomorrow, June 3. Ignore the rain you see in the morning and early afternoon because the forecast is for it to clear out in the afternoon. So we are expecting no rain by 5PM tomorrow. Please make sure you come. If there are a couple of lingering light showers, we'll all survive.

What's the worst case scenario? The absolute worst thing that could happen is that it is raining hard. And if that is what happens, we'll greet you at your car at the park and send you to one of the local bars to hang out with everybody. That doesn't sound so bad, does it?

So we're on. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Please spread the word around that the event is on.

Subject: HHS Alumni Event is on - but it's indoors at the Edelmans

Some of you may remember that Dave Virrill, Mark Bingham, and I used to
throw some big holiday parties in the 1980's at my parents' house. Since I
live in a one bedroom apartment, unfortunately I can't have a big party at
my place. But my parents are still up there at 57 Buena Vista Drive, so
we're going to have it there. I have already seen Dave this morning and
he's all psyched for this. I hope that as many of you will be there as
possible. See you later on today. Please spread the word to people from
other classes if you can. Thanks.

Jeff

Noontime Saturday June 3

The HHS Alumni Party is still on - BUT it's going to be inside at the
Edelmans' house. It's too wet and gross at the waterfront today and the
forecast is for more rain. We've had some great parties at our house
before, but it's been a long time. Let's have another one.

5PM - 8:30 PM
The Edelmans
57 Buena Vista Drive
Hastings-on-Hudson

Directions: From the intersection of Broadway and Villard, where St
Matthews' School is located, start going up Villard. The second left is
Calumet. Take a left onto Calumet. Calumet becomes Buena Vista Drive. The
Edelmans are in the white house near the top of the hill on the lefthand
side.

Parking is awful up there. You'll probably have to walk a block or two or
three. Sorry about that. There's nothing we can do about it.

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT FRIENDS WHO DO NOT RECEIVE THIS MESSAGE IN TIME. THERE
WILL BE PEOPLE AT THE WATERFRONT PARK FROM 5 PM TO 8:30 PM TO GREET ANYBODY
WHO COMES AND TELL THEM OF THE CHANGE OF VENUE AND GIVE THEM DIRECTIONS.

However, PLEASE forward this message around to absolutely anybody that you
know. Thanks so much. Hope to see you there.

Another reunion in the rain? Wasn't that a Neil Sedaka song about the time we graduated? Maybe I'm wrong...

Anyway, I hope you all had a great time! Hope to see you all for the 50th next year.

I'm back at the Yahoo site, if anyone's been waiting on me. With two jobs the past couple of months I've had no time to get to that (or a thousand other things--I keep buying underwear...) But night job is done, and anyone who has an 8th grader in Connecticut, I can tell you now, given the statistics we saw while scoring their math tests, they probably didn't pass! lol No, I'm sure the Connecticut members of our class have incredibly bright students.

For those of you out of the area or not up on "local" news, the HHS Varsity Baseball team has a 28-0 record going into the New York State Championship tournament tomorrow, Saturday,June 10th. They will play at 10 a.m. at Union-Endicott High School right outside of Binghamton, NY. If, and when, they win that game, they will play for the championship at 4 p.m. They are a wonderful bunch of guys.
Alumni children: Mike Degasperi - son of Rich Degasperi and Jane Taylor; Andrew Pezzuto - son of Jimmy Pezzuto; Luke Thornton (MVP of Section 1) - son of Kim Koblosh
Anyway - no matter what happens in Binghamton, the community is sponsoring a PARADE for them on Monday, June 12, beginning at 5 p.m. up Farragut from the American Legion to Reynolds Field, where they will have a rally. It should be a really nice event. The police, school band, and fire department will be a part of the festivitities.

Hope some of you can make it!
