Did you know that every single email sent by a classmate to the class since 5/9/99 is archived at

www.art-cetera.com/hastings ?

Did you know that you can search our site for ANY NAME or WORD just like at Google? Just go to the link on the left for "Search This Site."

Did you know that if you scroll down the main welcome page, we now have direct links to pictures from the 1995 and 2000 reunions? (Even more can be found if you scroll down the LEFT BAR to "Recap of the 20th Anniversary Reunion" and "Recap of the 25th Anniversary Reunion.")

Did you know I'm tired of writing emails, but can't stop because I worry about missed opportunities for all of us? Please take over by writing to each other and leaving me out of it for now on.

Alan

PS. And don't forget to RSVP.

Dear friends,

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Had we decided to go with an American Legion hall-type event, I might not have had to scramble as much yesterday and today.

If you go to the website (www.art-cetera.com/hastings), you'll see that the schedule is the same except for were we meet. So please visit the website to see some destination changes and the reasons behind them. Thank you Billy K. for your help in some last minute shuffling.

Ray P., I checked Uniontown today and they don't have grills there.

Nancy G., there were Little League games at Uniontown all day today. Since there won't be room for us and Little League, as Steve B. said, maybe it is the end of their season. Nancy, could you make sure for us please?

Assuming we will continue to have bumps in the road up until -- and during -- our reunion, I'd like to offer my cell phone voicemail as a place to get up-to-the-minute recorded Reunion information, in case things change due to weather, or in case people need to leave messages for help. I will try to check it regularly during the weekend. So please mark down 914-588-7062.

I will be crazy busy until the moment I walk into Maud's, so that first toast is going to taste very good. Can't wait to have it with all of you.

Subject: Saturday Dinner Update - 8PM instead of 7:30PM

Those of you who opted for dinner as well as the bar at the Chart House, they called today worried that our evening would be ruined if they couldn't seat us at precisely 7:30PM.

Pretty good service, huh?

Seems they will be cleaning up a very large wedding and didn't want to let us down. When asked if we could move our reservation to 8PM, I agreed (we were going to be conversing at the bar beforehand and afterward anyway).

For those of you who are printing out the itinerary to bring with you, you should print it again now for this change and for the latest RSVPs which have arrived and are posted.

I am off on a business trip, so communication will be a little less frequent, but I will still monitor everything as much as possible.

Safe trips everyone. Can't wait to unwind with all of you,

Alan

Hello Alan,

My name is Dragan Andrijevic.
I was foreign exchange student at Hastings High School and I have graduated from HHS with the Class of 1975. I am not sure if you will remember me but I remember that we had some classes together. My picture in the Yearbook is not the best one, but if you look at it maybe you will remember this student from Skopje, from the communist Yugoslavia at that time.
I still live in Skopje, but after the split of former Yugoslavia I now live in the Republic of Macedonia but I still have great memories of my stay in Hastings.

I have come across the web page for the reunion this month, and I am very sorry that I can not attend this reunion, but I promise that I will do my best to attend the next one.

I have great memories from Hastings High and the warm reception from other students and teachers that I have experienced during that one year I was there.

To all the students and teachers attending the reunion please pass on my best regards and best wishes for successful and joyful meetings and parties. I am sorry that I am not there with you and I am looking forward to see some photos from the reunion posted on the web.
If anyone is coming to this part of the world please get in touch with me and hopefully we could meet here.

Have a great time in Hastings.

Take care,

Dragan Andrijevic

Dragan -- I remember you well and am very glad to hear from you. I have
thought of you many times over the years, and particularly during the
time of war in the former Yugoslavia. I often wondered what it was like
for you and hoped that you had indeed survived. I was not too far away
last October when I visited the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary. I
would love to get back to your part of the world sometime.

All the best,

Subject: American Legion Gathering

To those of you who attended the "Indoor Picinic" at the Legion (and the early morning gathering to finish the beer and food), the Legion members were quite surprised and extremely grateful for our generous donation of $200. They had waived all fees knowing the predicament we were in. I think we have found a future gathering place should we ever need it. Thank you to all who contributed. We were also able to partially reimburse Ray with $100 toward food expenses.

Once again, thank you Ray, thank you Alan! What a great class we have!

Subject: Jolly good show, with Bill and Hillary too

Well, Beverly Fox (Ms. Keller Kaufman-Fox) approached Hillary and said "Hi, Hil...We have a bunch of liberals here and we wanted to know how you really feel about Eleanor Roosevelt?"

Okay, that was in bad taste. More to the effect that we liberals wanted her to run for the Prez position and of course, she jumped at the chance to shake hands with the goo goo eyed high school grads from HHS. And you guys, cmon, we were all acting like Brad Pitt and/or Ms. Joilie were sitting next to us.

And it was a jolly good time, actually, as we gave them a round of applause, followed by the requisite handshakes. Hillary definitely stole the show---you think everyone?

Bill told us he had two high school reunions in the White House and I askedhim why we weren't invited.

Bev, you may tell your story now!

Okay, did I see a bunch of Hastings people on "The Today Show" Monday morning?  I thought I saw Sandy P. and others.  Please respond!

And when did Bill Clinton show up?  Was it on Sunday, at the Harvest House?

Nicole

Subject: You won't believe this...

Many people asked about Sumner Jaretzki during our reunion and I had no information for them. Well, just today, guess who I ran into on the train... ?

Yep, and he lives in Tarrytown. He couldn't have turned up in 6 months. It had to be within DAYS of the reunion...

I updated his info on the database and will add him to the email list after this message, so if you want to welcome him here, feel free.
