Jane:
I guess you figured out how to reach the website!
My daughter, Lisa, saw you at LVP last Friday night.
I'm in for Friday. I could do Sunday, late afternoon, but not mid-day.
I knew the mystery guest wasn't Greg Vaughn. He would have been looking for
a place to stay!
Chip:
I agree with you. We need a decent hint.

Hey,
I wasn't in your class, I hope you guys aren't too cool to be in the
presence of an under classman.

Well, I've got 2 wonderful daughters, 9 and 11 who aren't into sports. They both did karate for awhile, but quit after getting me hooked. (Tomarrow is my 2nd tournament- just an interdojo one. But the first was International, at Hunter College and I placed 4th in kata. If I come back to NYC to compete in the future, I'll send a heads up first).\
But back to kids... I got an e-mail from a publisher in Australia who saw a poem and drawing my 6th grader had done back in 2nd grade and wants to publish it in a textbook. I have no idea how they found it, but she's excited. She's also doing well in clarinet (made district-wide jazz band) and was recently accepted in the John's Hopkins Center for Talented Youth program which makes her eligible for some "distance learning" and summer courses if she's interested.
My 3rd grader takes after me- She's going to be a much better partier in college than her sister:) She's actually doing great in school and loves gymnastics and she works with me on photo scrapbook albums.
Wish I could be there for the surprise guest; maybe one of these days I'll make it back and be a surprise guest. I'm assuming since you're so generously including a child like Mark Feaster, you'll be equally accepting of an old fart from '74.
Cheers, Alison Krafft Rempel

Pat,

Don't kid around now. You're hitting all the guys in the class below
the belt (so to speak) when you mention Heather. I don't know of a
single guy in our grade who doesn't remember her.

Well, perhaps Gordon Craig will show up instead?!

My apologies, but my intent was not to hit you gentlemen below the belt!

Jamie,
I don't think a single girl could forget Heather either. Just about the
time the boys were starting to notice all of us girls, SHE showed up and all
the boys turned as if on cue and started following Heather with their
tongues hanging out. Didn't do much for my pre-teen ego.

Wow - Pat, You have an amazing memory. I had forgotten about Gordon Craig...
but your Heather Schmeltz dig was very good, too. What was it about her?

My theory is that the mystery guest is Dragon, our exchange student from what was then known as Yugoslavia. As the situation in that area has heated up, I've thought about him wondering which side he was on and whether he is still alive. I'd be interested to find him and see what's happened to him in the years since he went home.

As for my kids, my 12 year-old daughter takes after her father and is playing the clarinet (and I'm teaching her at least for now). My 9 year-old daughter is big into horses and aspires to be an actress.

Now that I have two daughters, I'm horrified by all of this talk of Heather Schmeltz......

It's Sunday and I came into work to do my taxes. Did they ever tell us about that in High School?
Anyhow, as I drove in I saw a dozen Robins which means only one thing....
this DAMN WINTER is on its last legs!!!

Eileen and I went out with Terry and Alan last night. We ate at Tony's, a really good Portuguese
Restaurant that is right on the edge of the Warburton Bridge. We turned Alan on to Mariscada
which he devoured. Considering I love a mystery I had to ask professor Alan and got it INSTANTLY!
Mystery guess, you were really easy to ferret out.

Girls....were we all that noticeable when Heather rolled into town? I must say that Heather and
Ray Obriski arrived on the scene just when are minds were most impressionable.

Does anybody know if Peter Andrews still lives in Portugal? We bought a house there and it
would be cool to hook up with him.

Hopefully I will see some of you folks on Friday.

Jim
