Since there are several cruise lines from which to choose (and everything is negotiable), an exact price is unknown until we do more research, and the research phase was pending the conclusion of our vote.
The vote limited what could be spent per person to under $130. Frankly, I'll be surprised if we spend over $100. I'm hoping $65 to $100.
As for payment by credit card, we can always ask during the research phase. It would certainly be a lot less work for US if we DON'T have to do the busy-work of collections.
On the other hand, I'm afraid any group discount we'd want would be discounted BECAUSE the group is expected to take on all the headaches. If this is the case, I would advise classmates to request checks from their credit card company. Credit card checks work just like credit card charges, but the checks would allow us (the class) to receive the charged money without needing to invest in credit card capability.
