Can you believe with all the cameras and all the pictures we
have of the reunion,
and with full warning that the Clintons had paid their bill and were about to
leave,
I even whispered loudly that people should get their cameras ready,
yet
NO ONE GOT A BETTER PICTURE THAN THIS?
For the record book, Keller Kaufman-Fox (Beverly) darted from
her seat like a demolition derby driver, practically sideswiped Hillary, took
and extra step, turned around, stopped the Senator in her tracks, and said something
like (and correct me if I'm wrong), "Hillary, all these people are
your supporters and I really think you ought to take the time to shake their
hands."
And shake our hands she did, every last one of us. And Bill joined in too while
Chelsea and her boyfriend stood to the side. They told us they both just had
their 40th reunion and Bill mentioned that during his term he hosted two of
his reunions at the White House. To which Greg Vaughn yelled, "Why hasn't
anyone from our class become president and hosted a reunion in the White House?"
SO NOW WE CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT
BOTH BILL AND HILLARY CLINTON
SPOKE AT OUR REUNION.
Another Memoriable Moment:
In the middle of their meal, when Bill Clinton headed to the bathroom,
we're not sure whether on purpose or coincidentally,
Joe Pagan followed him in.
Two resulting quotes were:
"Does Joe even know who Bill Clinton is?"
and
"Joe Pagan and Bill Clinton were 'hanging out' in
the bathroom together."
